About Brian

Brian Fogarty has been a tobacco picker, grocery bagger, kitchen worker, carnival barker, housepainter, assembly-line worker, government cost analyst, carpenter (very briefly), and award-winning educator. He is now Professor Emeritus of Sociology at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

His writing includes three books, articles in academic journals, newspaper op-eds, an opera libretto (Mozart in Manhattan by Albert Biales), and these days, a pro-democracy Substack newsletter.

He volunteers as a tour guide at the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis.
